John Anthony Truchard was raised in the vineyards as his parents Tony and JoAnn were developing Truchard Vineyards in the 1970’s. He learned from some of the most notable names in the industry: Andre Tchelistcheff, Mike Grgich, Joe Heitz, Larry Hyde, Dan Duckhorn, John Williams, Larry Turley, Herb Lamb, and of course his father, all influencing the vintner he would become. Along with John Anthony Vineyards, he has 2 other labels: JaM Cellars and FARM Napa Valley. All of John’s brands express his philosophy that great wines start in the field.
Winemaker Geoff Whitman is a Dover, NH native. His passion for wine was born in Boston while paying his way through college working in some of the city’s most exciting restaurants. His desire to learn wine making and gain firsthand experience working in vineyards brought him to California. From working harvests to sales, distribution and cellar work Geoff has done it all in the wine industry. Come give him a warm welcome home.
